People and pandemic behaviours

This Corona virus might be inspiration for my next book since it is an ethical virus. I need to read some before start writing again. Perhaps I should re-read “La peste” by Camus. It is like watching a movie again. A film you have seen years ago might be different since you have accumulated additional life experience. That gives a new perspective to the movie or the book.

Human behaviours have changed due to Corona. Distancing is important. But people want to stay in herds. People do not want to be alone. I push myself to do exercise whenever I can. Like today. Indoor cycling is good for me. I can keep distance, and I really hope that people stay home if they are sick. If everything is ok, I will measure my maximum pulse rate on Tuesday. That will be tough.

Yesterday, I wrote about this worrisome and stressing Corona. Tried to put it in perspective. This evening, I will share some dancing music. Patric Swayze is somewhere, he was very popular when I went to high school. This is how close people want to be, but it is not possible.

I miss sweetie and cutie. I saw a dachshund the other day, reminding a little of Molly, even though she is a Cocker. Ended this day with tacos for dinner.

Stay safe!

Mixed emotions

Swine flue, Corona virus, Season flue. Virus, virus and virus. It is serious, and at the same time you have to try to live a normal life. Maybe that is why I write again this evening. I do not understand. There has been so much information, and still people sneeze without using anything for protection. Allergy or not. It doesn’t matter. I put my medical face mask on immediately since I strongly believe that you can avoid being contaminated if you are careful. I have stayed at home in quarantine as much as possible, but today I had to buy a few necessary things. I do not have much make up, but I cannot be without make up. I needed to refill. And also some tea. I have had coffee lately, but now I need to go for tea and honey. My South American mate that I also sometimes keep in my bag.

Mankind has been through a lot, and during my lifetime catastrophes like the Estonia crisis, 9/11, Tsunami in Thailand, Utøya, Swine flue etc have caused much suffering. I feel sorry for the old people who have passed away in Sweden. Probably because I know how it feels to lose a parent. We have higher mortality compared to other countries, that is why it is extra important to be concerned. But the government will raise the pensions as compensation.

When I started to write I wanted to share something entertaining like an amusing scene with Julia Roberts. To think of something fun instead. Not only Corona. Found this beautiful and touching song. Important to put things in perspective. Mankind has been through various crisis, and we will go through this as well.

Stay safe!

TGIF and Maximum heart rate

A day off. Easy to do just nothing. But I did my exercise and I am rather tired now. I have my watch that keeps track of me. I do not know if it shows correct information, but anyway, it is good company. And also, a little diary so I remember my training. Of course I miss sweetie and cutie. Normally, when I run, I go for walks afterwards with them, and they just love that. They just hate to wait for me.

I do some spinning now, and now when I have moved, I am a closer to work. I have no excuse of not going by bicycle. It is very nice to listen to music when doing exercise, and music motivates. Keeps my heart beat. Today I decided that I need to measure my maximum heart rate. Will find somebody who will help me with that. So I can go for more accurate pulse rate zones.

Yes, good music motivates. Sharing some this Friday. Little scary movie, but the music is good.

Writing, memories and Navalny

I had to see some news this evening, and there was a program about the poisoning of Navalny. He has said “I am more dangerous dead than alive” in previous interviews. It really is a true crime story to follow. A live Agatha Christie. She used poison as a cause of death for more than 30 of her characters. Cyanide, arsenic, strychnine and digitalis were some of her poisons. Navalny is alive, and he sent a photo on Instagram with his family.

I do not know why, maybe it is because of Navalny. I remembered a photo of Fanny that I have kept for years in my bag that I carry every day. This is very private and personal. But I share with you. Dear readers. I forget it for years, and then I suddenly remember this photo and I have a look. I have no answer to why I have kept it. It is from when I studied in Uppsala. I had time off and I went to the countryside to study and also to spend some time with puppies. This is Fanny on the photo. She was a hunting dog that I have trained. Beautiful black and white. I love dogs.

Balance and stretch

I have been rather bad at doing stretching after exercise. Especially now during Corona. This evening I went for an hour with just focus on core and stretch. Sometimes that is good. To know that you don’t have to achieve anything particular. Only be there. No demands like having the pulse for more than 160 beats per minutes. Yoga, pilates, core. It is rewarding and relaxing. By the way, the Guardian now says that Alexei Navalny can breathe independently.

Ending this evening by sharing a beautiful song. In my diary.
