Midsummer

Just writing a few words tonight. Midsummer is here very soon. This is the best weekend during the whole year. To celebrate light and all flowers. Feels good to have some time off. My project this weekend will be to find seven different flowers. It is said that you will dream about future when you put them under your pillow. What is your favourite flower?

Soon out of Sri Lankan Tea

Out of tea. That is my greatest problem right now. I bought a lot of Sri Lankan tea when I was on vacation. So, how can I find new, fresh tea? I miss ginger tea so I am trying to find something that I like. Summer is here to stay and that feels good. I haven´t written for some time because there is not much happening. Life is in a way on slow motion during summer time, and I think I have to reduce some exercise. Maybe focus more on stretch. More Jane Fonda I suppose.

I feel a little disappointed on Swedish newspapers. Where is the debate? There is no challenging reading. So, the most interesting that has happened recently is the election in the United Kingdom. It was very unfortunate that there were terror attacks so close to the election. Because that is exactly what they want, to interfere with democracy. But, hopefully, people have learnt that it is something we have to learn to live very close to. Terror. Unpredicted attacks on democracy. However, the police and the military seem to work closely, also across countries, to hunt them down.

Most surprisingly is that there were many young voters. But of course, that is positive. To reduce the gap between politicians and people. To understand that politics actually is involved in daily life. Things like paying tax, and where is this tax distributed? Politics has developed a lot during the last century. Left is not right and right is not left. Maybe this has to do with human development. Life today is more about who you are and what values you stand for. A hundred years ago it was more a question about food on the table. Today, it is more about what will I have for dinner tonight?

In Sweden right wing parties have become left wing parties and also the contrary. The political agendas have developed, but there should be more debate in the newspapers for further development. Theresa May has a great challenge infront of her. To unify her own party and also collaborate with The Democratic Unionist party (DUP), Northern Ireland Party. But she will succeed, even though she has lost some seats in the House of commons. This is a question of leading.

Donald Trump is unhappy, I think. He left the climate agreement. Even Putin signed, the American people said. I believe this has to do with that he is used to lead companies and now he has had to change to the mode to be the President of the United States. And it takes time to find his new role. It was so nice to see his visit with his family in the Middle East. It is very good that leaders visit other countries because that brings stability in the world. That is a way of showing that even though we have different values in life, religions etc we have to pay respect to each other.

I started this morning with a cup of Sri Lankan tea and fresh ginger. I read the newspaper and found out that I needed to write a few words. Soon I am off for my favourite training on Sathurdays, namely cycling. That is a challenge.
