Being with sweetie and cutie gives me so much energy. They are always happy. Molly is sometimes a little too enthusiastic, so my sweetie needs some time of her own. Private time. She has high integrity and clearly declares to Molly if there is anything wrong. They are best friends, and it is fun to see that they stay together all the time. Molly runs so fast. We have so far only been on walks, but in time she will go running with me.
I was so glad to see them last Friday. And they were thrilled to see me, because they knew I would take them for walks!
Cheers
This headline is heavy, but I like it. When I am in the countryside there is little light so you can easily see the stars. Last evening I think I saw a planet, I don’t know which one. Rather big and bright. Not red. Could not have been a star or a plane. It is now a long time ago since I saw a comet. I like them a lot, because often you can see them in the sky for weeks. And it is so sad when they disappear. Do you remember the comet Hale-Bopp? I wonder what next comet will be like. When I was in Italy this summer, they talked a lot about the stars, mythologies etc.
Languages are still very fascinating, and I am not bored even though I have spent so much time studying. I understand some Spanish but would very much like to learn more. Italian is beautiful to listen to. I don’t understand much, but I do like the “melody”. I found this French little song that I share. Toi et moi.
It is in the beginning of February and usually it is snow and skiing time. But not. It is warm, no snow and but sunshine. I have stayed in the countryside this weekend, and I have had time for both running and walking. Normally when it is cold there are no ticks, but now Molly has had her first tick, so she has to start to take anti-tick medicin. Molly runs so fast and she plays a lot with Lady. She is an action dog. Thought of this song for Molly.
Sometimes I cannot hold my horses and do nothing but write. I get very upset when I see things that are no good and there is no change. Over years, I have learnt that I can notice things that nobody else do. Observe patterns. Find simple explanations to things that are complicated. The nightly bombings have provoked me, because everybody accept that it is part of normal life today. Furthermore, the Australian coalas have totally broken my heart. They are so adorable and I hope they get first aid.
Every day I see so many sweet dogs and they cheer me up. They remind me of all the nice and cute dogs I met in Italy this summer. Tomorrow is the day of Europe. Some time ago Emmanuel Macron said “To our British friends: with Brexit you are leaving the EU, but you are not leaving Europe. You remain by our side, and we remain by yours”. Maybe that is why I thought of Italy today, since Rome and Paris are so intimately connected from a historic, European perspective. I found this beautiful Italian song with Federica Carta. Enjoy your weekend. I will, because I will see sweetie and cutie and they will take me for walks!
This Friday is an important historical landmark. The UK joined the European Union in 1973 and is leaving the Union on Friday. At that time in the 1970s, to the best of my knowledge, it was also the European Economic Community. The main role of the EU is to preserve peace, and that has mostly been shown by free trade between countries, free movement and of people to live and work in whatever country the choose to live in. Today, 75 years after the end of WWII, the world is different. Internet has developed, and has increased communication between people, and is also playing other important roles such as free trade. People from all over the world, not only from Europe, live in the UK, so the setting is different at this moment. There will be a transition period for the UK to leave the EU and they will during this time continue to follow the law of the EU and also trading relationships. Theresa May´s government has done a lot of negotiations, but on Friday Boris Johnson will take this historical step. Please see: Brexit: All you need to know about the UK leaving the EU – BBC News
The challenge today is to preserve stability (peace and security) in the world. Recently, military actions have been shown in the Middle east region. Civilians have suffered. And as I wrote, these tensions spreads rapidly as waves all over the world. A new political role has to be developed. “Foreign Domestic Policy”. Perhaps, there are already these kind of roles (ostrich policies), but they are not shown to the public. Politicians must realise that the world has changed and that a clear role for “Foreign Domestic Policy” must be introduced. This person needs to demonstrate skills on it’s own countrys history, as well as other countries historical development. An understanding of economy must be included. This means that this person has to show that he or she has been to school and done homework. I would very much have comments on this.
The UK will still be a member of NATO. Sweden is not a member, and after the latests weeks of bombings in Sweden, I strongly suggest that this should be an important matter for the politicians to discuss and take actions for. For national security reasons. The role of NATO is to maintain peace and take actions whenever there is instability. In particular when foreign countries have nuclear weapons. I do not understand why people are afraid of NATO, because the NATO is like the UN today. They maintain peace and support countries in need of help. The difference is the uniforms.
