Languages

I fancy languages. That is a big hobby of mine. Danish was very difficult for me to understand, but I think I would learn quickly since I know Norwegian. As usual, Danes and Norwegians understand me better. I have to speak English. What I did was just to listen to Danish, and I liked the melody.

Languages are like music to me. I browsed the internet for a representative song where Danish language is in focus. Here is a kind of a dogma song. Can you pick up some words? By the way, I am content – I found a Danish flag.

Return from Denmark

I started Christmas (advent) early this year in Copenhagen. The streets were beautifully decorated. It was windy and rather chilly, but always nice to do a lot of walking. I have forgotten about Copenhagen. And when you have some more life experience, you can put things in a new perspective. This time, I thought I could see that Copenhagen has been influenced by France and England, with regard to architecture. I don’t know if it is right, but that was my impression and intiution. A very European city. Busy, as the picture shows below.

I like the harbour a lot, and I would definitely like to return and live for a few days close to the sea and beach. My definition of freedom I guess. I got very inspired, and I have things to write about. I tried to remember some Danish music and found this song with Laid Back.

Sjælland 🇩🇰

Tomorrow I am off for south of Sweden, and then to Copenhagen. It is nice with a little journey. Hope I will find a Danish flag to put on the table together with the Swedish and Norwegian flag I have. The Danish flag, Dannebrogen, is sad to be one of the oldest in the world, and is somehow connected to the battle in Lindanäs, Estonia, in 1219. I cross my fingers I will find one.
