Once upon a time…

…there was a woman who wanted to tell her story. She had a lot, a lot to tell but something made her shut her mouth. She didn´t know much about life. She had read forbidden literature. Her life was endangered. She was frightened. She didn´t know what scared her, so could she be scared if she didn´t know who wanted to wound her?

I have always liked fairytales. My favorite book when I was little was stories by “Grimm brothers”. I remember when I was seven years old; started school when I was six years old. I had just learnt how to read books and I had found a big, old book at the school´s library. It was such an old book. You could even feel from the smell that it was an old book. It was a huge book with a lot of stories, so it was easy to read. I don´t know why but I especially remember that I read it when I had breakfast. The stories were so exciting so I could´t let go of the book. But I had to, because I had to go to school.

I remember a story about a woman being kidnapped and put into a cage with no access to the outer world. She was kept as a prisoner for a long time. No one saved her, or thought of her, but she could finally save herself by talking sweet to the guard. It took a long time to take care of her wounded soul and body. She didn´t know what to believe about life. Is life, or maybe man, this cruel?

I still like fairytales a lot. All the stories have helped me to build a stable life platform. I remember a picture from my childhood that still is in my mind that nobody can take away from me. A girl sitting by a lake in a John Bauer forest. I share this picture with you today. You can make up your own picture.

I have a simple breakfast today. I am thinking of what a Swedish breakfast is. I will show you what I am grown up with. That is a daily life breakfast and a brunch for weekends. There are so many versions of Swedish breakfasts.

This is all from me today. I admit that I have been lazy writing. It is more fun to write here.  However, my next book will be much easier to write. My biggest challenge is to find proper Swedish. I feel embarrassed that I write such bad Swedish.

Je vous embrasse,

Anna

Morning

I am very happy to live so close to such beautiful churches. Yesterday, I did not work so much. I went to church, went for a run and listened to an organ concert. I suppose a lot of people wonder why I do this, but it is somehow to meditate for me. To find piece and harmony. I love music. Or rather, my brain loves music. That is a way to meditate. Since I am single and live alone I need to make the best out of my life. Little life. I like little life a lot. I have had nun life for almost four years. So of course, I went for confession yesterday.

My book touches upon life, death and religion. Special emphasis is on life. It is actually very difficult to write about it because this is my point of view today, but I know that this may change. Life experience change what you believe in. Or maybe should´t believe in. Actually, I don´t know.

Hässelbyloppet takes a lot of time. More than I thought. It takes three hours every day. I follow www.SMHI.se every day to see weather forecast. Hope Sunday will be as beautiful as today. I like my new running clothes.

Today I am having American breakfast. I thought a lot about sweet auntie yesterday. She has no children but she is very happy she has such a sweet American family. So today I have American breakfast. Isn´t there a movie called “Breakfast at Tiffany´s?”

Have a sweet day!

Anna

Le matin

Bonjour mes amis. J’aimerais bien écrire en Français mais c’est trop compliqué. Bon, je continue en Anglais.

About two weeks ago I was very touched at breakfast time. Every morning when I had breakfast I had this wonderful view (vide infra). I did not know what star it was at first, but then I understood that it was Mars. It was so bright and beautiful and I had company for a week. Now I don´t see it any more. That makes me sad. I liked it.

Stars and planets are fascinating. Some religions believe a lot in stars and I know the constellation of the stars are very important for predicting future life. When I saw this I almost started to believe in stars. It was so beautiful and bright. So much energy. I got a lot of energy from that. And just a few days later I got my period so the attractions from the stars and planets are very strong. It is difficult to deny that the stars do not affect our planet. The tide is a perfect example.

Today I have French breakfast. Petit déjeuner (vide supra). Pain au chocolate, des croissants, du café etc. Pas mal. I like France a lot. I would like to practice French and I do as often as I get opportunity. I get a little sad because I miss my friends I made in Pau. I met people from the whole world. So I think of you today. Sometimes I read Le Figaro on the internet to stay in touch with French. A few weeks ago I wrote a letter to Professor Jean-Pierre Changeux because I wanted to learn about his vast knowledge on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. I will go to Paris again later if he responds.

Yesterday was a good day. But tuff. I went looking for some warmer clothes because it is cold now when I go training. I spent hours on searching. I think I have mentioned it before. I am actually not so found of shopping but sometimes I just have to. I have learnt that it is important to have breaks when shopping. So I had a cup of the at NK. I admit, this is really an industrial country problem.  However, finally, I found something to wear and I went for a run. Perfect material.

Je vous souhaite une bonne journée!

Anna

English Breakfast

Breakfast is maybe the most important meal of the day. That will keep you going during the whole day. Often, I am not that hungry in the mornings so I just have a cup of coffee and a little something to go with my coffee. But I know that is not good. However, during weekends I have no excuse of being lazy. So today I made myself an English breakfast. I just had scrambled eggs with fresh paprika and onions. A toast with Swedish “prästost”. However, no bacon or beans this morning. I will soon have a cup of the and also read the newspaper.

A part of my book takes place in London, so I try to remember beautiful London. I was more than 30 years old before I went to London, but I have been there several times since then. I like London a lot. I have never seen a musical in London so that is something I need to do. I don´t know why, but I used to know a lot about musicals. I think I had a teacher in music who liked musicals at school. The whole school went to Stockholm and we saw “West side story”. I liked the song “Puerto Rico, you lovely island, island of tropical…”. Think I saw, after that, “The phantom of the opera” with one of my best friends at that time. So, only musicals in Stockholm. Next time London musical.

It is soon time for “Hässelbyloppet”. I am excited. I am following the SMHI weather forecast. Today they say no rain and I really hope that there will be no rain. I love sun and blue sky.

Wishing you a relaxing weekend!

Anna
