I have followed SMHI this week, so I have been able to plan for a nice walk. On Tuesday SMHI promised sunshine on Friday and they were right. Since I am in Stockholm I could not have cutie or sweetie with me, so instead I had photos of dogs walking in the sunshine. They seemed to be very happy, and they must be very busy since they might find bones they have hidden previous seasons. Dogs forget where they hide, and then they are very happy when they rediscover their treats. Dogs are fun, and I hope I can find that dog karaoke I have heard of. The dogs sing along with sounds they like.

Walking is time for reflection, and today, I don’t know why, I thought a lot about Magdalena Ribbing. She passed away a few years ago, and she has written books and also quite a lot in “Dagens Nyheter”. In brief, she thought us how to behave. Sometimes there might be situations when you don’t know what to do, for example if you are going to a dinner and you don’t know what to bring for a gift. When to give a speech at the dinner. Or not. And in particular, what is allowed to say like politics and religion. Restrictions, politeness, behaviour, common sense etc. Maybe a little French. I think I have told you that I have a book about how to formulate a letter at various occasions such as work and other eg formal situation, but also to eg friends at certain occasions. I miss Ribbing, and I think it is time for DN (Dagens Nyheter) to find a new writer. I understand them since she is difficult to replace.

While walking today, I searched for early signs for spring. Spring is a month earlier this year. I had this photo above. Isn’t it nice? On Sunday, the 8th of March, it is the International Women’s Day. A global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. I have never done anything special on this day. Maybe I should. This Sunday I will work. How are you going to celebrate?

Yesterday was a little chilly, but I went for a little walk. Fresh and nice. To my surprise, I found very pretty flowers on a tree. It is already a lot of pollen in the air, not only viruses. Mornings are brighter, but it is dark in the evenings, so I will see if I can get a nice photo of these flowers early in the morning this week. It is fantastic that you can get that instant feeling of energy when you just see a glimpse of flowers. Nature is fascinating.

It is still cold, and you need a hat for walks. I like hats, but I never wear, only ordinary ones that keep me warm. I searched my photo album, and found this photo from when I was in Riga last autumn. That was when this Lady had photos of me. When I could not smile, because it was so serious.

It has been an intense week with a lot of focus on the Corona virus (Covid-19). Alco gel and masks are sold out. A lot of countries are affected, but I do not now if it is pandemic yet. It is wise to stay at home as much as possible til it is more stable. Internet shopping instead. Anyway, weekend is time for making dinner. Fawlty towers is one of my favourites, and I do spoil my dogs whenever there is an occasion. Cheers.

I know I can get criticism due to my associations. However, that is good, because that is when knowledge and history develops. And in particular might become understood or interpreted in a good way. History also needs to be integrated with the grammatical tempus presens. Lately, I have been deeply worried because things are happening in the North part of Sweden, and I think of when the Swedish government in the 1940’s who helped the German military industri with transportations of iron on the railway. This is a part of history that is forgotten, or maybe hidden. The price for this was peace in Sweden, but to the cost of lives in other countries. I cannot understand when I read news papers and see that various memories are celebrated originating from WWII. But no excuse. Yes, I must admit that it makes me concerned about so called “double moral”. This is something that needs to be elaborated on, and it needs a lot of thinking.

It is brighter in the mornings, but it is still possible for snow. When I thought about the industry transportations, I thought of Norway and when I returned to Sweden after living in Norway. This is a photo from 2013 in Stockholm, and the photographer is a friend of mine. At that time, I was about to find friends from old times, and also new friends. I must admit that I am happy, because I have (as usually) met a lot of nice people. Lucky me.

One step forward two steps back. Snow storm today. I could never imagine, but today it started to snow again. Somewhere I know that snow can occur til April, so no thoughts of spring and summer yet. Today I thought a lot about the British pop group The Smiths. Need some more time to listen to them before I can share a song with them. The singer has a unique voice.

Instead I share this song. Very sad, but also with a spirit of lots of faith and hope.
