Ordinary life

I have been on vacation and I have stayed with my parents. Just to have some time off and spend time with them. Normally you often need vacation after a vacation, but not this time. My mother has a memory disease and that affects the whole family. Since I am the oldest I feel responsibility and I have helped them with things. This memory disease is terrible. So, I am trying to find an opportunity to contribute to research.

This morning I read the newspaper and I found writing from politicians speaking like they know research. If you would like to talk about research you should at least have a PhD. There is a lot, a lot of work behind a PhD. You have to think a lot. You have to test a hypothesis. Find out positive or negative results. And make a conclusion. Mayby the most interesting part is the discussion and that is also the most difficult part. So, I get very upset when they write about research in the newspaper without a PhD degree.

I will continue to work for internet freedom. That belongs to human rights. Helsinki agreement, I think.
