Theoretical research, an introduction

I have more or less found my role in life to teach about science. Previously, I wrote that it costs a lot to run a laboratory, you need research grants. But even if you have money and a laboratory, you need to have ideas. Good ones. That is why I dedicate time for theoretical research.

For people who have not been involved in research, it is difficult to judge what is good and/or bad. Even though you have a scientific degree it may be difficult to define good research. However, top-down analysis is good basic research. That is from molecule to human. Or vice versa, although less common.

And for todays students I recommend to learn a lot of pharmacology. To become good at what you are working with you need a lot of basic knowledge. It is more fun!

So, above are my hypothesises I am working with. These ideas need to be developed over time. So my research program is not ready. A real research program is never ended, because that is science, according to me. There are always adjustments to be made. I write from my memory.
