Pandemic history

Followers who read what I write know that I like history. This is world history. I remember SARS and the Swine flu, but this is different. Medicine meets economics, and not the least, politics. It is easy to notice that various countries have acted differently due to present political governments. I went for a walk in Stockholm in the middle of this week. The streets were more or less crowded and I felt happy. I did not have to wear my medical face mask. Distancing is in practice. Finally. In July people bumped into me and I did not like. That is why I sometimes have the face mask.

The Swedish Military supply of basic needs such as face masks and plastic gloves is absolutely unspeakable. The Military in Sweden has been disarmed over decades. I have never made military service, but I am grown up with an awareness that you should be careful. Family members have joined the UN 🇺🇳 and I have heard a lot of stories. And not to be forgotten “hemvärnet”. But also, when I worked in Norway I learnt a lot. It was different there, and I understand that since they fought during WWII. Only decades away. It is the other way around in Norway. A lot of people have done the military service whereas it is the opposite in Sweden. That is also reflected in the Norwegian job market and society in general.

Yes, history is written in this very moment. Interesting to see history books in the future. Will historical literature be modified? But anyway, who is to judge what is true history?
