Now  I have accepted that winter is here. Remember July when there was so much sun, but  now times are different. No news paper this morning, maybe due weather conditions. I am still learning how to use my camera and the photo below is from early this morning.

It is a beautiful day. I definitely wish that there would be more hours to spend during a day. Time is precious. Now I am watching Ladies slalom from Levi in Finland.  Thinking of how I will be able to exercise today. So much ice on the road, but I have my safe grips to turn my shoes to ice bugs. Since it is so cold it will be good with sauna after running/walking. Maybe skiing tomorrow.

I don´t know why but I have started with advent already. Maybe to endure this November, waiting for December. So, yesterday, I made a dough, filled with so many spices, so I can make ginger cookies tonight. My mother always used to make this dough every Advent. Usually, December is such a busy month, so it is good to be prepared. There will be so many sweet cookies! Afternoon tea with ginger cookies, is that possible?

Today I saw some photos from the American election where President Obama meets soon to be President Trump. There will also be a change of Ladies. Probably the most important role. To be honest I thought a lot about black and white today. Long, long time ago I listened to Alannah Myles (Texas). There were no CDs at that time. Only cassettes. My favorite song was Black Velvet.

Currently, there is a lot talk going on in Sweden about the Noble price. Did you know that you can be put into a mental hospital if you believe you will have the Noble price? There are clear medical criteria regarding that. Interesting, I think. So, a lot of talk about Bob Dylan. Maybe that is why I thought of Alannah Myles. Music is so good for well being.

My writing is sometimes very different. Little, every day life happenings. And also my interest regarding what happens in the world. Probably since I have met so many people from all over the world. So I vary music, kitchening, sports, news, my sweeties and traveling. What a mixture. But entertaining I hope.

I guess nobody has missed that there has been an election in the US. When I think of America, I think of the land of freedom. The land of hope. There are so many people who have moved to America to find change in their lives. Positive changes. To fulfill dreams. Dreams that are never possible in their own home countries. In the 19th century, a lot of Swedes crossed the Atlantic Ocean due to poor living conditions in Sweden. Starvation. If I remember right, Minnesota is a town filled with a lot of American Swedes.

Tonight I had hamburger for dinner. Home made. Watching CNN news, and there are a lot of reactions all over the world. What the newspapers in Sweden have been worried about is instability. However, when I watch the news, leaders from different countries give very balanced comments on the election. And not to forget, the congress will balance Trump.

America has a very interesting history. Columbus discovery in 15th century, or who was it? However, the Indians already lived in America. What I think is interesting is how the aspects of democracy have developed over centuries. That you have a president that cannot be elected more than eight years. There are presidents like Nixon that had to step down. And now, for the very first time America has had a black president for eight years. A black president in the White House. The Obama family. I think that has been very good. For stability. Black is White. White is Black. However, what is not really developed in the world is that you can be white but considered as black, so there are challenges to work on. Difficult challenges at a high intellectual level.

Today has been chaos in Stockholm. The very first snow is here. A lot of snow. And as usual, there is instability in the infrastructure. It happens every year. No buses. No taxis. People cannot go to work. People cannot go home from work.
