I guess nobody has missed that there has been an election in the US. When I think of America, I think of the land of freedom. The land of hope. There are so many people who have moved to America to find change in their lives. Positive changes. To fulfill dreams. Dreams that are never possible in their own home countries. In the 19th century, a lot of Swedes crossed the Atlantic Ocean due to poor living conditions in Sweden. Starvation. If I remember right, Minnesota is a town filled with a lot of American Swedes.

Tonight I had hamburger for dinner. Home made. Watching CNN news, and there are a lot of reactions all over the world. What the newspapers in Sweden have been worried about is instability. However, when I watch the news, leaders from different countries give very balanced comments on the election. And not to forget, the congress will balance Trump.

America has a very interesting history. Columbus discovery in 15th century, or who was it? However, the Indians already lived in America. What I think is interesting is how the aspects of democracy have developed over centuries. That you have a president that cannot be elected more than eight years. There are presidents like Nixon that had to step down. And now, for the very first time America has had a black president for eight years. A black president in the White House. The Obama family. I think that has been very good. For stability. Black is White. White is Black. However, what is not really developed in the world is that you can be white but considered as black, so there are challenges to work on. Difficult challenges at a high intellectual level.

Today has been chaos in Stockholm. The very first snow is here. A lot of snow. And as usual, there is instability in the infrastructure. It happens every year. No buses. No taxis. People cannot go to work. People cannot go home from work.

Early evening tonight. Exercise tomorrow morning.

It is cold. Suddenly, temperature has dropped several degrees. Leaves are covered by snow. It is just to get into winter mood. I like to be outdoors when it is like this. You just have to find the right clothes that keep you warm.

I went for running this weekend. It is very nice and fresh. To clear your thoughts. Breath fresh air. My knees are fine now. So I am very happy! I just need to be careful. Stretch is important, but I admit, I am not always that careful. Sometimes I like sauna, just to get warm afterwards. Good for the muscles.

I searched for deer and rabbit tracks and found some. Last weekend, when there were leaves on the ground, there were many moose hunters in the wood. This weekend was more exciting since snow was falling. To see tracks. However, I think the animals hide because it was so cold and this sudden change in weather. I am still learning photography, so enjoy some of them above. And on Insta.

This Sathurday I felt like starting to think of December. November is a month in-between. I did not attend any service at church, I just lit some candles on the graveyard. It is very beautiful with all candles. Always important to stop for a moment and reflect. In Sweden we have a lots of traditions in December. I like that a lot. It is very cosy when it is so dark and cold. So, to get into mood, I made some “adventsbullar”. A compromise. I changed cinnamon to saffron. And since I do a lot of exercise I changed to more healthy flour. And raisins. Lots of raisins.

It is Friday and Halloween weekend is approaching. The scary weekend. I just read the newspaper and surprisingly, there is not much written about Halloween, or “Allhelgonahelgen” as it is called in Swedish. Maybe because we don´t really know how to celebrate this weekend because it is turning to a mixture of American and Swedish traditions. Originally, it is a weekend to remember those who has passed away this year and previous years. It is beautiful with candles all over the graveyards. To remember.

There was some written about clowns in the news. That is so scary. Clowns are supposed to be nice but these ones are nasty. I didn´t know that they are in Stockholm. I haven´t seen anyone and I hope they will be nice instead of nasty.

My life right now is very much about tea. I am very happy with the tea I found in Berlin from the highlands in Ceylon. Tea is very interesting. I learnt a lot when I saw the highlands in Malaysia. The production of good tea is very complicated and it takes time. When I have tea, my greatest weakness is that I don´t have much patience. To wait those 3-5 minutes.
