New variants of the Corona virus are constantly found, but since the vaccination has started we observe a decrease in severe covid-19. Finally. Public recommendations in Sweden are not that strict any longer. Personally, I am waiting for a second booster dose of the vaccine. I have continued with training, and I enjoy these unbelievable evenings.

As usual, I follow the news. Sweden has a new government, and Baylan will be Löfven´s right hand as Minister of Trade and Industry. Always difficult for the government to have majority in the parliament. But that is democracy. Balance is important.

We are in the middle of the summer and I really enjoy these warm and tropical days. Sometimes lots of rain, but mostly sunshine. Italy 🇮🇹 and England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (🇬🇧) will have a huge encounter tomorrow in football. Yesterday I had pizza, today I made lasagna with fresh salad to get into the right mood.

I thought I must find a nice tune. I changed my mind several times, and I go for a summer inspired song with lots of energy. We need to keep up a good spirit to endure this pandemic. Iceland is approaching group immunity!

From a global historical perspective we have encountered different viruses over centuries. But we forget so easily. Perhaps a mechanism of survival I suppose. Currently, we are in the middle of vaccinations against severe COVID-19. People have started to travel again, but life is still, a little on hold. At least my life. During this pandemic I have written quite a lot about the Corona virus. Probably because I have been reminded about the Swine flu.

The free word – academic freedom, is so important. I am happy that I live in Sweden where we are free to speak up. China, on the other hand, still have political refugees due to freedom of speech. I still remember watching the news on the massacre in Tiananmen Square in 1989. Students called for democracy, free speech and a free press in China. At this very moment we do not have a proper Swedish government since there are problems finding an agreement on economical issues etc. Perhaps because the middle parties don´t know whether to turn left or right. But, as long as we have freedom of speech, I am satisfied. Summer has really arrived and I enjoy these tropical evenings.

Summer is perfect now. So warm and lots of flowers. I walked a lot last year. This summer I have changed to cycling, at least for a while, to avoid the Corona virus. Only a few words today, due to midsummer.

Molly has athlete’s foot. In Swedish it is called fungus. She likes to run a lot and suddenly she started to have pain in one of her feet. The veterinary explained that she has athlete’s foot. Molly is on treatment and she is recovering quickly. Every dog is unique. They have their own little thing that they like to do. Molly has always been very social, and I don’t know why, but she likes to put her paw on my cheek. The photo below is when she started to insist on learning me how to make selfies. Maybe to show that she needs attention and somebody to play with. Lady has had a hair cut so she is ok for the summer. She always shows that she is very independent but also social. I hope I will se them soon.

I write on various topics. From the NATO to dogs. It is soon midsummer, and holidays are beginning. Don’t forget to continue with distancing and hand washing!
