Tomorrow is strawberry day. Strawberry cake, strawberries with ice cream, strawberries with whipped cream etc. Summertime! I will see sweetie and cutie. And I will find out if Molly likes running. I know that she runs fast, but can she run a few kilometers? Wishing you a relaxing weekend. Take care!
This weekend is always a special weekend in Sweden since it is a celebration to summer. It is a unique year due to the Corona virus. Still a lot of precautions. I have decided though that I have to go to the countryside. A lot of people has died compared to other nordic countries, and later we will have clear answers to why. One reason is that we have not followed quarantine as strict as other countries. In one way I think that is good. We need healthy economics to stay healthy. On the other hand, we could be stricter following social distancing. But in Sweden we are not used to do what the government tells us. I believe we are different on that point compared to other Nordic countries.
When I grew up I always watched the Swedish military airforce doing their training. If I remember correctly, they always did their training like dogfights on Tuesdays. One of these planes crashed, but the pilot was saved in a parachute. Since it normally doesn’t happen much in the countryside, that was great news for years. Looking forward to see cutie and sweetie.
I had decided to write on Midsummer, but I could not wait. I am addicted to writing. Sunshine, flowers, easy dressing, in conclusion, life is facile summer time. I do not remember when I saw sweetie and cutie, but on Friday I will see them. This will be Molly´s first summer in the countryside. Lately, I have been walking in Stockholm. No mood for running. This weekend I will find out if Molly likes running. Sweetie prefers walks.
Not much photographing now. But it is interesting to watch people, because life is different due to social distancing. Sharing photos from the famous French photographer Doisneau. He knew how to catch glimpses in life. Doisneau worked in the French army during WWII as soldier and photographer. This is street- and café life in Paris decades ago. His most famous work.
Wishing you a happy Midsummer week. Soon darker evenings again.
My way of dealing with the Corona virus and subsequent COVID-19 is to stay busy. Walking, reading, go to work etc with certain precautions. We must show respect to those who have passed away. Let us hope that it soon will get better. I mentioned antibodies earlier, and today I submitted a blood sample to see if I have been exposed. This is not a 100% sure test (ELISA), but it will give a clue. Since I have previously worked with pharmacology, I ask myself if there is a dose-dependent correlation between the amount of virus you are exposed to and sickness. I might have had small doses at work. LloydsPharmacy where I work send employees for testing. You don’t have to do it, but I needed something to focus on so I did it.
I cannot stop thinking of that this is modern warfare. Just in time for the industry. No war but an invisible enemy as the French 🇫🇷 president Emmanuel Macron said in the early beginning. To the best of my knowledge, he is the only head of a government who has admitted this. I do not like if the government has information and don’t share with voters. They must know something since they sent the brochure to the Swedish people “If Crisis or War comes” a couple of years ago OM_KRISEN_ELLER_KRIGET_KOMMER. The crisis is here. Why is it only Macron who has marked?
Enough about the virus, I will now focus on midsummer. This Sunday was filled with sunshine and I had a nice walk. I hope I can go and see sweetie and cutie at Midsummer. This year Molly (cutie) is with us. I cross my fingers.
Tomorrow is Sweden´s national day. I would very much like to go to the countryside to see sweetie and cutie. But, I am very careful and I stay in Stockholm. That is why I thought of Murphy´s law. The risk of spreading or getting infected by the Corona virus is moderate, but there are always possibilities and risks. Hand washing, social distancing etc are still important epidemiological medical tools.
Life has slowed down. In a way, I must agree that this is more of a normal life pace. Things must take time, and it can be dangerous to be stressed. A mistake can be made. The situation is of course very strange. Life is about the little life now. No travelling. Stay at home vacation.
I am reading my books on anti-inflammatory food and I will start to buy more ecological food. Active thinking when shopping groceries. I would like to know more about the salmon which is industrially produced. Is it safe to have this kind of salmon today? Animals should of course stay in the wild. More questions to come.
I am ending this little writing by wishing Denmark 🇩🇰 happy national day. Tomorrow is our turn 🇸🇪.
