It is in the beginning of August, and it is very calm in the countryside. I miss my mother and I have been walking with my sweetie to her grave. It takes time to mourn, and it feels like the circle is closed after travelling to Rome, Italy. It was good to go to the Vatican and spend a day there in her memory. Time heals.
I have also been reminded that I actually wrote my books during my mother’s last years. Soon, I will start to write next book, and that will also be a new chapter in my life. Because life continues.
Tjejmilen is approaching, and currently I run 10 km on 60 minutes. That is ok, and I feel satisfied with that. My little sweetie waits while I run. She barks some, and then she is happy when she gets her walk. To meet other dogs and that kind of stuff. Dog’s interests.
When I was in Rome, I walked a lot. I liked the buildings and architecture, and I associated to Bond movies when I saw the cars. I didn’t know if a Bond movie has been made in Rome, but I googled and found this car chase. I also met dogs, and one evening I saw this woman driving her car with her dog. She proudly presented her sweetie.
At high school everybody had their driving license. In the countryside that is more or less mandatory. Since I have my birthday in December, I was the last person in my class to be licensed. Today, I go by train, bus etc, and I am so happy that I don’t need to go by taxi anymore to my parent’s house. That keeps the countryside living.
I am waiting for next Bond movie. I heard that Mr Bond got injured during action, so it will take some time til next movie. Meanwhile, enjoy this scene.
I am now in the countryside for a few days. The temperature and weather can only be described by the Swedish word “lagom”. No to warm, no rain. Currently, I am between two languages; Swedish and English. Lagom is among the most Swedish word you can find. Moreover, after being in Rome I have become interested in learning Italian, and also to learn more about Italy. Just like I did in France.
Today I am looking forward to a walk with my sweetie. Who is so happy to see me and vice versa. She has her anti-tick medication. They don’t bite her, but still I find them on her fur. These ticks carry disease that is contagious, so I am very careful.
Since I passed by Uppsala yesterday, I stayed there for a few hours. I met friends for “fika” and later dinner in the evening. Very nice. And always fun to see friends you have known for such long time. It is so easy to catch up from last time you met. I actually passed by my little apartment I had in Uppsala. It feels like my apartment in Stockholm is similar, since I do a lot of studies there. But now languages, art, history and culture. Not biological science.
I share some photos from yesterday. By coincidence I met a friend of a friend on the train between Stockholm and Uppsala. We studied at high school in Sala. She had this photo of me on the train.
