Ukraine and Georgia

Tensions between Russia and Ukraine, but also Georgia, have been known for a long time, particularly in 2014 when Russia invaded the Crimean peninsula. A strategic location in Eastern Europe. Currently, the military-political security situation is very tense. As a citizen, of course, you can only observe. Emotions become strong when newspapers convey which robots are fired, the number of civilians killed, torture, etc. This is from both sides.
I wonder if peacekeeping forces were deployed in Ukraine after the annexation of Crimea. Considering how the political security policy situation is today, this seems less likely. This invasion cannot have come as a bolt from the blue. When will NATO start working as the UN? Inflation and energy issues concern all of us. This is not an isolated war. Not the least from a humanitarian perspective.
When this is over, trials will be held. In the same way as after the Second World War and the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s. Who will take responsibility for maintaining peace in the future?
I am sharing a newspaper clip from Upsala Nya Tidning from 2019.
